EggTimer
Auf einfachen Timern kann man einen gewünschten Zeitintervall einstellen. Ein langer Intervall ist dabei meist kein Problem, aber wenn man häufig und schnell Einstellungen ändern möchte, kann dies mühsam sein. Ich habe über einen Timer nachgedacht, der diese Probleme beheben kann und es dem Benutzer einfacher macht, verschiedene Zeiten einzustellen. Der Benutzer stellt die Zeit nicht mit einer Nummer ein, sondern mit Farben. Farben sind so vielfältig, dass wir seit Kindertagen mit ihnen spielen und lernen. Normalerweise haben sie neben ihrer ursprünglichen Bedeutung verschiedene Assoziationen und Symbole. Der “Egg Timer” funktioniert mit Farben anstatt Symbolen. Jede Farbe symbolisiert eine bestimmte Zeit, welche je nach gewünschtem Zeitintervall ausgewählt wird. Der Timer hat einen eingebauten Farbsensor, der automatisch den Zeitpunkt einstellt, wenn der Timer auf eine bestimmte Farbfläche gestellt wird. Man kann den Timer mit verschiedenen Farben und Sonderfarben z.B. von Post-It’s eingestellen.
Das Prinzip ist so simpel, dass bspw. ein, das keine Zahlen lesen kann den Timer verwenden kann, da man den Timer schnell mit einer Hand einstellen kann.
Die Form des Timers ist eiförmig, wodurch er gut in der Hand liegt und die Symbolik der Eieruhr aufgreift.
Beispielsweise kann man mit einer Farbtabelle passend zu einem Kochrezept mit dem “Egg Timer” auf einfache Weise komplizierte Speisen zubereiten. Weiterhin ermöglicht der Timer das festlegen verschiedener Zeiten durch post-it’s, um ihn für das Strukturieren von z.B. Besprechungen, Brainstormings oder Diskussionen zu benutzen.

The user can set the timer with different colors as well as special colors, e.g. set trough Post-It’s.
The principle is so simple that, for example, a person that can not read numbers is able to use the timer because you can quickly set the timer with just one hand.
The shape of the timer is egg-shaped, whereby he lies well in the hand and picks up the symbolism of the egg timer.
With the „egg timer” you can, for example, prepare complicated dishes with a color table that match a certain recipe. Furthermore the timer is meant to use within office situations and allows you to set different times by placing it on different post-it’s. This is an essential tool for structuring e.g. meetings, brainstormings or discussions.
