Waxtextile

Plastic has been always the most common material when it comes to waterproof clothing and other things used as an easy and light protection against water. In my project i tried to use natural materials as a substance for plastic and nylon, by applying melted beeswax on cotton fabric. With heat the beeswax unites with the cotton fabric creating new fabric that is a bit more heavy, more structured and eventually waterproof.

The new fabric has been folded few times creating a grid on the surface which allows the fabric to be more flexible and makes it easier to manipulate.

This new material can be used in clothing, packing, water resistance covering, etc..
