Die Menschen formten die Erde nach ihren Idealen und Bedürfnissen. Während sich alles -von Landschaften, über Pflanzen bis hinzu Tieren- diesen Vorstellungen von Umwelt anpassen und beugen musste, formte dies auch die eigene Existenz und Wahrnehmung der Welt.
In einer durch Technologien entworfenen Welt wurden die Begriffe „künstlich“ und „natürlich“ oft benutzt und in ihrer Gegensätzlichkeit betrachtet.
Bis die irdische Biosphäre so geschädigt war, dass die Zukunft ihrer Lebewesen bedroht schien.
Wir versuchen wieder Nähe zur Natur zu entwickeln, und zu verstehen, was „natürlich“ und „künstlich“ bedeutet und Natürlichkeit wird für uns -ob simuliert oder real- erstrebenswert.
Unsere Auffassung von Natur und Technologie verschwimmt dabei, sodass symbiotische Hybride entstehen, bei denen das eine mit dem anderen verwoben ist.
Doch was bedeutet dann noch Natur? Was bedeutet noch künstlich?
Humans shaped the earth according to their ideals and needs. While everything – from landscapes to plants to animals – had to adapt and bend to these ideas of the environment, this also formed our own existence and perception of the world.
In a world designed by technology, the terms „artificial“ and „natural“ were often used and considered in their opposites.
Until the earthly biosphere was damaged to a point that the future of its living beings seemed threatened.
Now we are trying to get close to nature again, and to understand what ’natural‘ and ‚artificial‘ means. Thus naturalness is – whether simulated or real – desirable for us.
Our understanding of nature and technology becomes blurred, resulting in symbiotic hybrids where one is interwoven with the other.
But what does nature mean then? And what means artificial then?
