ON STICKING BIRDS
In the public space of Berlin you can find a lot of stickers. They are calls for protest as well as advertising. There is always something to look at while waiting at the traffic lights.
I want to offer birdwatching instead of advertising watching with Birds of Berlin. The Sticking Birds can be sent to a friend as a postcard and then sticked around in the city.
By showing one interesting fact per bird, passing people are challenged to stop and inform themselves about lokal birds. The goal is to increase the interest for our living environment and to encourage people to watch out for the native birds of the city.

ÜBER STICKING BIRDS
Im öffentlichen Raum Berlins wird viel gestickert. Es finden sich Protestaufrufe genauso wie Werbung. So hat man zB. beim Warten an der Ampel immer was zu gucken und zu lesen.
So wie man Stickerwatching betreiben kann, kann man auch birdwatching betreiben mit Berliner Vögel. Die Sticking Birds können als Postkarte verschickt werden an einen Freund und anschließend in der Stadt herumgeklebt werden.
Indem eine interessante Eigenschaft pro Vogel visuell dargestellt wird, werden Vorübergehende aufgefordert anzuhalten und sich über hier heimische Vögel zu informieren.
Das soll Aufmerksamkeit schaffen und dazu animieren nach den echten Vögeln Ausschau zu halten.
