Keyframe | Bachelorarbeit 2020
Keyframe ist ein modulares Möbelbau-System. Es besteht aus Edelstahlverbindern, Eichenträgern und CDF-Platten, welche als Verbindung, Möbelstruktur und Korpusse dienen.
Für mein Abschlussprojekt dient das System als modulare Küche. Der Fokus lag dabei von Anfang an auf einer nachhaltigen Lösung. Da der Begriff der Nachhaltigkeit aktuell sehr inflationär genutzt wird, bestand ein großer Teil der Arbeit darin, herauszufinden: „Was ist nachhaltig?“.
Keyframe ist gestaltet, um ein langes Leben der Materialien und Teile zu begünstigen.
Bei der Materialwahl wurde auf Beständigkeit geachtet. Mit der Idee eines Mietsystems bleibt der Produzent im Besitz der Teile und damit auch in der Verantwortung. So kann der Produzent alle Teile wiederaufarbeiten, weiternutzen oder recyceln. Dadurch ist gesichert, dass das Material in Kreisläufen bestehen bleibt.
Keyframe is a modular furniture system. Its main parts are stainless-steel connectors, oak beams and CDF-boards that function as connection, structure and body.
In this case the system serves as a modular kitchen. From the beginning of the project the goal was to design a sustainable furniture system.
But today sustainability kind of lost its meaning. So it was one major part of this project to find out: „What is sustainable?“.
Keyframe is designed to make a long material life possible. First to mention is that the used materials are very durable. Second, a rental system makes it possible to return the material to the producer. Third, all parts are refurbishable, reusable or recyclable. That way the producer can find a new purpose for the material at any time, so it stays in material circles.
