Es ist oft kompliziert, etwas Neues zu machen, vor allem kann man etwas Reales machen. Ich wollte, dass diese Arbeit die Frauen und Männer gleichermaßen betrifft. Ich möchte die Wahrheit sagen. Ich verschwinde als Individuum hinter dieser Maske, hinter dieser inszenierten Situation. Ich lasse Sie mit dieser Fassade allein. Auch wenn ich Ihnen nichts über mich preisgeben kann. Stattdessen präsentiere ich Ihnen diese Hülle. Anspie- lung auf vorgefasste Vorstellungen vom Frausein und auf die Inszenierung von Weiblichkeit im gesellschaftlichen Bild von uns Frauen.

„Ich werde dir zeigen, wie du mich haben willst, aber ich werde dir nicht zeigen, was ich bin.“
Dabei lege ich offen, wie wir uns alle hinter vorgefassten Rollen verstecken, insbesondere Frauen. Abschließend konfrontiere ich Sie mit der Identitätsauflösung hinter einem perfekt inszenierten Auftritt.

It’s often difficult to make anything new, most importantly you can make something that is real. I wanted this work to effect women and men equally. I want to tell the truth. I disappear as an individual behind this mask, behind this staged situation. I leave you on your own with this facade. Alt- hough I can not disclose you anything about myself. Instead, I present you with this shell. Alluding the preconceived notions of what being a woman is all about, and to the staging of femininity in the way which we as wo- men are viewed by society.

“I will show you what you want me to be, but I won’t show you what I am”. In doing so, I reveal how we all conceal ourselves behind preconceived roles, especially women. Lastly, I confront you with the dis- solution of identity behind a perfectly staged appearance.
