Wildbienen sind sehr bedeutend, denn sie spielen eine entscheidende Rolle bei der Erhaltung der Artenvielfalt und der Sicherung einer nachhaltigen Nahrungsmittelproduktion. Allein in Deutschland gibt es rund 600 verschiedene Wildbienenarten. Die aktuellen Trends der zunehmenden Industrialisierung, der großflächigen Flächenversiegelung und der gesellschaftlichen Ignoranz bedrohen ihr Überleben jedoch massiv. Diese Faktoren haben zu einem Rückgang der Nahrungsquellen und Nistplätze für Wildbienen geführt, was sie zur Flucht in städtische Gebiete zwingt.
Heute gibt es für Wildbienen in der Stadt mehr Vielfalt als auf dem Land, die Stadt wird zum Refugium.
BUZZZ schafft geeignete Lebensräume für Wildbienen in Städten und nutzt dabei das ungenutzte vertikale Potenzial.

The significance of wild bees cannot be overstated, as they play a critical role in maintaining biodiversity and ensuring sustainable food production. In Germany alone, around 600 diverse species of wild bees thrive. However, the current trends of increasing industrialization, extensive land sealing, and societal ignorance pose a grave threat to their survival. These factors have resulted in a decline of food sources and nesting sites for wild bees, pushing them to flee to urban areas.
Today there is more diversity in the city than in the countryside, the city is becoming a refuge.
To address this crucial issue, BUZZZ creates suitable habitats for wild bees within cities by using the untapped vertical potential. BUZZZ is rethinking facades by actively providing nesting sites for solitary wild bees, fostering their proliferation. By doing so, BUZZZ is not only promoting biodiversity but also cultivating a harmonious coexistence between people and nature within urban landscapes. Through these efforts, BUZZZ aims to transform cities into vibrant spaces that support a sustainable and thriving ecosystem for all living beings.
