The classic design allows the lamp to be seamlessly integrated into a variety of settings – whether as a bedside lamp, desk lamp, or elegant mood lighting.
A distinctive feature of Mémoire is the brass light switch in the form of a nose. This switch is visible, yet subtly blends into the design so that it does not stand out. Repeated touching prevents a patina from forming at the spots that are frequently touched, keeping these areas in a golden shine. The resulting unique patina reflects the history of the lamp’s use. This concept is inspired by the tradition where touching specific body parts of statues is believed to bring good luck and has transformed the lamp into a personal keepsake that reveals the connection between its owner and the object over time.
The choice of maple wood with its unique grain for the lamp base and shade provides an elegant tactile experience. The wood is sourced from sustainable forestry, is durable, and resistant to wear. Additionally, maple is particularly translucent, allowing the grain to glow from within when in the dark. Along with the brass MS63, an alloy known for its workability and antibacterial properties, the lamp offers both aesthetic and functional quality. Brass naturally ages and develops a characteristic patina over time. Furthermore, no components of the lamp are glued together – the wood, brass, and electronic parts can be disposed of and recycled separately.
The design of Mémoire is intentionally timeless and harmonizes with both modern and classic interiors. It not only provides light but also creates atmosphere and coziness, becoming a quiet companion that adds character to the room. The lamp works well in both minimalist and classic settings and, with its emotional design, consciously invites moments of pause.
The lamp’s technology is kept simple, ensuring easy usage. A 3-stage touch dimmer, connected to all the brass parts, provides easy control. While the nose is designed as the switch, other parts of the lamp can also be used for this purpose. The E27 socket allows the use of modern LED bulbs, as well as halogen or incandescent bulbs. Everything is securely connected through tool-free Wago connectors, which also make it easy to replace components if necessary.

Die Wahl von Riegelahorn mit seiner einzigartigen Maserung für den Lampenfuß und den Lampenschirm sorgt für eine elegante Haptik. Das Holz stammt aus nachhaltiger Forstwirtschaft, ist langlebig und widerstandsfähig gegen Abnutzung. Zudem ist Ahorn besonders transluzent, sodass im Dunkeln die Maserung von innen heraus erstrahlt. Zusammen mit dem Messing MS63, einer Legierung, die für ihre Verarbeitbarkeit und antibakteriellen Eigenschaften bekannt ist, bietet die Lampe sowohl ästhetische als auch funktionale Qualität. Messing altert auf natürliche Weise und entwickelt mit der Zeit eine charakteristische Patina. Darüber hinaus sind an der Lampe keine Komponenten miteinander verklebt – Holz, Messing und die elektronischen Teile können sortenrein entsorgt und recycelt werden.
