Dent Mirror is a simplistic wall mirror featuring a deliberate three-dimensional dent that distorts reflections and challenges the illusion of objective self-perception. The dent doubles as a grip groove and allows for 360° rotation, making the mirror interactive. By merging clarity and distortion, the design invites reflection on self-percetion and societal expectations. As a sculptural object, Dent Mirror merges function with disruption and questions the supposed objectivity of reflective surfaces.
Dent Mirror ist ein reduzierter Wandspiegel mit einer gezielten dreidimensionalen Verformung, die das Spiegelbild bewusst verzerrt und zur Reflexion über Selbstwahrnehmung und gesellschaftliche Ideale anregt. Die beulenartige Ausformung dient zugleich als Griffnut und macht den Spiegel über eine 360°-Drehung interaktiv. Als skulpturales Objekt verbindet Dent Mirror Funktion mit Irritation und hinterfragt die scheinbare Objektivität reflektierender Oberflächen.
