Sidewing is a 3D-printable object that works as a small drinking spot for city pigeons. It fits any standard PET bottle and can be stuck into soil or cracks in the urban landscape. As a quiet counter-move to spikes and defense systems, it creates little moments of care. Sidewing can be printed, shared, and adapted. It invites us to pause and watch — and gives a bit of wonder back to the pigeons we once bred and now call pests.
Sidewing ist ein 3D-druckbares Objekt, das im Stadtraum als Tränke für Stadttauben funktioniert. Es lässt sich mit jeder handelsüblichen PET-Flasche kombinieren und einfach in Erde oder Fugen stecken. Als Gegen-Geste zu Spikes und Abwehrsystemen schafft es kleine Orte der Fürsorge. Sidewing kann gedruckt, verteilt und angepasst werden. Es schafft Momente des Beobachtens und gibt Stadttauben etwas von der Faszination zurück, die wir einst gezüchtet haben und heute als Schädlinge diskutieren.
