Bonbon
Bonbon greift die Formsprache eines vertrauten Einrichtungsgegenstands im Eingangsbereich auf – die Garderobe – und adaptiert sie für Schuhe. Der 90 Zentimeter hohe Ständer bietet sechs Aufhängpositionen für bis zu drei Paar Schuhe. Seine spiralförmige Anordnung nutzt den Raum effizient, während die Schuhe ausreichend Abstand zueinander behalten.
Entwickelt während des kollaborativen Projekt zwischen der UdK Berlin, dem A+W Newcomer Shop und DIM Berlin, priorisiert Bonbon eine unkomplizierte Herstellung. Dies ermöglicht es DIM Berlin, die meisten Teile intern zu produzieren. Bonbon nimmt sich vertraute Möbelelemente vieler Haushalte zum Vorbild und interpretiert sie neu – eine platzsparende Schuhlösung für urbane Lebensverhältnisse.
Bonbon takes inspiration from another common entranceway object – the coat rack – and adapts it for shoes. The 90-centimeter tall pole offers six positions to hang up to three pairs. Its spiral arrangement uses space efficiently while keeping shoes adequately spaced apart. A handle on top offers support when putting on shoes, moving Bonbon, or using a shoe brush to restore a shine.
Developed through a collaboration between UdK Berlin, the A+W Newcomer Shop, and DIM Berlin, Bonbon prioritizes straightforward production. This enables DIM Berlin to manufacture most parts in-house. All drill holes share a uniform distance and 15-degree angle, simplifying the production workflow.
