Single use packaging is one of the driving forces of the constant production and consumption of plastics on an unsustainable scale. When approaching this issue, the aim was to identify an easily replaceable (from single use to multi use) kind of packaging and find a context in which the change could be widely impactful. The supermarket dispensary system for shampoos could save 1.4 billion bottles annually while offering a pleasant experience for the customers. Providing additional value through the comfort of use and the visual appeal. This system would rely on a bottle returning system similar to pfand and big refillable containers for the dispensers.
The aim of this project was the alter the way we use plastics. The idea of eliminating single use packaging was the starting point of the project.
