Biografie:
Geboren und aufgewachsen in der Schweiz, besuchte Julian Zigerli die Universität der Künste Berlin. Nach seinem Abschluss im Jahr 2010 kehrte er zu seinen Wurzeln nach Zürich zurück, um sein eigenes Label „JULIAN ZIGERLI“ zu gründen.
Anfangs ein reines Männerlabel, erscheinen inzwischen neue Kollektionen für Männer und Frauen, verschiedene Accessoire und Produkt-Linien und Interieur Kreationen. JULIAN ZIGERLI steht für sportlich, dynamisch und tragbare Mode, die interdisziplinär und mit vielen Print–Design Kooperationen arbeitet. Präsentierte wurden die Kollektionen bereits rund um den Globus in Städten wie Berlin, Zürich, London, Mailand, New York, Paris und Seoul.
Mit seinen Entwürfen gewann Julian Zigerli zahlreiche Auszeichnungen, darunter 2014 die Einladung von Giorgio Armani ins Teatro Armani in Mailand oder den Swiss Design Award, 2012, 2014 und 2016.
Neben der Tätigkeit als Creative Director und CEO seines eigenen Labels, arbeitet Julian Zigerli immer wieder an Branchenübergreifenden Projekten. Seit 2014 ist Julian Zigerli als Gastdozent am Institut Mode-Design der HGK / FHNW (Doing Fashion) in Basel tätig. Wo er unter anderem als Mentor im Bachelorprogramm «Doing Fashion Cycle I» und für die Thesis Klasse tätig ist.
Born and raised in Switzerland, Julian Zigerli attended the Berlin University of the Arts. After graduating in 2010, he returned to his roots in Zurich to launch his eponymous label „JULIAN ZIGERLI“.
Initially a menswear label, now creating collections for men and women, various accessories and product lines and interior creations. JULIAN ZIGERLI stands for sporty, dynamic and wearable fashion that works on an interdisciplinary basis and with many print-design cooperations. The collections have already been presented around the globe, in cities such as Berlin, London, Zürich, Milan, New York, Paris and Seoul.
Julian Zigerli has won numerous design awards, including the invitation of Giorgio Armani to the Teatro Armani in Milan in 2014 and the Swiss Design Award in 2012, 2014 and 2016.
In addition to his work as the creative director and CEO of his own label, Julian Zigerli repeatedly works on cross-industry projects. Julian Zigerli has been a guest lecturer at the Fashion Design Institute of the HGK / FHNW (Doing Fashion) in Basel since 2014. Where, among other things, he works as a mentor in the bachelor’s program “Doing Fashion Cycle I” and for the thesis class.
