Die integrierten Druckknöpfe bieten eine flexible Verbindung zwischen den Aufklebern und dem Body Ice und sind wiederverwendbar, was Ressourcen spart und Abfall reduziert.
Der Ansatz des Projekts basiert auf einer Low-Tech-Lösung, die einfach anzuwenden und zu erweitern ist. Das Body Ice ist eine Kombination aus Funktionalität und Ästhetik und motiviert die NutzerInnen zu einem nachhaltigen Lebensstil, indem es umweltbewusste Entscheidungen fördert.
Cooling in the summer with an air conditioner is common in many countries. It consumes a significant amount of energy and emits Freon, which damages the ozone layer. Instead of cooling the entire room, Body Ice offers a more efficient alternative to the air conditioners by targeting specific areas of the body.
Body Ice is comfortable to wear. Thanks to the gel inside, which is commonly used in medical cooling compresses, it remains soft even after many hours in the freezer.
The forms of Body Ice are primarily inspired by nature, such as the one with the shape of a monstera leaf provides a cozy cooling experience for the back. Each user can find shapes that suit their individual needs.
To attach the Body Ice to the skin, a simple and aesthetic method using skin-friendly stickers is employed. These can adhere to the skin for 3-10 days and also serve as decorative body ornaments, just like tattoos. The integrated snap fasteners offer a flexible connection between the stickers and the Body Ice and are also reusable.
