Dieses Projekt entsteht mit Wasser. Für die Form wird ein Gel aus Wasser und Algenpulver angemischt. Wenn man es in eine Lösung extrudiert entstehen lange, flexible Fäden, aus welchen ich verschiedene Muster und Formen gehäkelt und gewebt habe.
Das Material ist sehr Hitze beständig. Sogar nach mehrfacher Nutzung behalten die Netze ihre ursprünglichen Strukturen. Unter Einfluss von Hitze wird das Material flexibler und lässt sich gut in andere Behälter aus zum Beispiel Holz oder Metal umhängen.
This Project contains a lot of water. The mold was made from algeapowder and water, wich together forms a gel. When extruded into a solution it creates strings, which I used to make different patterns and molds for glassblowing.
Discovering how much heat the material is able to resist was pretty interesting, especially because it barely changes after using it multiple times. Exposed to heat, the mesh becomes more stretchable and is easily transferable to different types of mold-containers f.ex. wood or metal.
