Description
This skill course explores the practicalities of additive manufacturing, offering a comprehensive look at 3D-printing. You‘ll engage in hands-on experimentation with in-house tools and gain insights into cloud manufacturing techniques. Industry experts will provide live insights,
while practical projects reinforce key learning outcomes. To accommodate your busy schedules, all sessions will be held during regular class hours, creating a supportive environment for addressing specific questions related to CAD, 3D printing, and prototyping. Given the varying complexity of different technologies, course timings may fluctuate. Please refer to the schedule on R177 door for updates.
a) Gain a comprehensive understanding of contemporary 3D
printing technologies and learn to discern which technology, materials, and geometries are suitable for specific purposes.
b) Develop the skills to operate in-house 3D printers safely, troubleshoot issues independently, and optimize prints according to stability, quality, and speed requirements.
c) Acknowledging that participants may possess varying levels of prior knowledge and experience, the goal is to strike a balance between addressing fundamental concepts and providing advanced insights to accommodate diverse backgrounds.
