FREE WEAVING CLUB for Queers and/or BIPoC
Weaving is a craft that can create a lot of joy through the experience of self-efficacy and immediate results. It is an universal craft. What does it mean to practice it as a BIPoC and/or queer person?
This workshop aims at bringing together BIPoCs and/or Queers to celebrate community in a productive, artisanally working atmosphere. Either you already have experience in weaving, have worked on a loom or never had contact with the technique, everyone is welcome to explore from where they come from.
We will spend three days together exploring different weaving techniques on and off loom, take breaks, have space for talk and reflection.
The workshop will be hosted by Teresa Fagbohoun and takes place at the weaving workshop of the Institute of Experimental Fashion and Textile Design.
