About the project:
popUP tisch is a tactile, fun to put together table for pop up events. It is composed of wooden dowels, a tightening sleeve, and of course a base which slides into a hole in almost any table top. The design is parametric, so if you have different sized dowels, would like a different sized hole, or want to use a thicker table top, everything still fits together wonderfully. Thanks to 3d printed fixtures; the leg pieces pop through the desktop and can create some wonderful colour combinations. The design focuses on the natural bending of wood; the compliance is what keeps the legs tensioned, and what holds multiple tables together. The design allows for the joining table tops to share a leg, so the larger the table the less legs are needed. All one has to do is to create some tensions by sliding the tightening sleeve towards or away from the table top, and you have table(s)!

popUP tisch ist ein taktiler, leicht zusammensetzbarer Tisch für Pop-up-Events. Er besteht aus Holzdübeln, einer Spannhülse und natürlich einer Basis, die in ein Loch in fast jeder Tischplatte passt. Das Design ist parametrisch, d.h. wenn Sie unterschiedlich große Rundstab haben, eine andere Lochgröße wünschen oder eine dickere Tischplatte verwenden möchten, passt trotzdem alles wunderbar zusammen. Dank der 3D-gedruckten Halterungen ragen die Beinteile durch die Tischplatte und ermöglichen coole Farbkombis. Das Design konzentriert sich auf die natürliche Biegung des Holzes; die Nachgiebigkeit ist das, was die Beine unter Spannung hält und was mehrere Tische zusammenhält. Die Konstruktion ermöglicht es, dass sich die verbundenen Tischplatten ein Bein teilen, so dass je größer der Tisch ist, desto weniger Beine benötigt werden. Alles, was man tun muss, ist, Spannungen zu erzeugen, indem man die Spannhülse zur Tischplatte hin oder von ihr weg schiebt, und schon hat mensch einen oder mehrere Tische!
