Visiting Lecturer Winter Semester 2024-2025

Corinne Mynatt is a writer, editor, and producer, working across design, architecture, art, tech, food, and film. Her book Tools for Food: The objects that influence how and what we eat is a survey of design and culture of kitchen utensils from across the globe. It was nominated for the Food Book Award by the UK Guild of Food Writers, and was translated into Japanese and Italian in 2022. In 2023 she was awarded two research grants to travel to Japan to document tool-producing workshops and studios across the country. She has written for various design and culture magazines such as Crafts (UK), form.de, Konfekt, Monocle, MOLD (US), F (Korea) and more. She has written for brand magazines and publications such as The New Standard, Urban-X, and for Kvadrat with Phaidon.

Corinne has curated and edited publications and research programmes such as Interspecies Future for LAS Art Foundation (2024/23), All Media is Training Data for Serpentine (2024). She was Film Producer of two documentaries about the architects Geoffrey Bawa and Jørn Utzon produced by Craft Isono Films, screened at film festivals worldwide.

Corinne studied Fine Art at Pratt Institute in New York and at Central St. Martin’s in London, before completing a Masters in Contextual Design at the Design Academy Eindhoven. She is based in London, often working from Europe or USA.
