PROJECT
AVANT GARDE – the term of this year’s MA theme – is closely linked to modernity and experiments of the youngest generation. Therefore it can hardly be described as a style, but more as an artistic or intellectual attitude.
Bauhaus lecturer László Moholy-Nagy stated: Design is an Attitude.
But… what is the artistic or intellectual discourse and attitude of design today? What are the topics that get attention and that might need more attention? What are the current themes, fields of research and visions? Can you design without a vision?
What is actually your attitude in design?
To kick of this MA year we will explore various ideas, ways of working and attitudes in Design and link it to design concepts as ‚food for thought‘ for your own design foundations.
You will report on your experiences and write a Personal Manifesto.
