The departments of Fashion and Product Design at the Universität der Künste Berlin have set up a collaborative full-time one-year Master program. The program is based on a specific theme that changes with each new student cohort, in the believe that a Master education program in Design should be able to engage directly with the continuously transforming contemporary debate and societal developments. The teaching staff who develop the Master program each year invite speakers and external teachers who are specialists in the topics at hand.

We have invited students from various creative backgrounds to work on their personal projects within an intensive multidisciplinary environment thereby enabling them to reflect upon different discipline methodologies, processes, outputs and dominant interests within their field, in order to stimulate synergy between different fields, to differentiate and enrich their work.

The University campus for Fashion and Design is located in Charlottenburg in Berlin. The school offers shared studio spaces and individual specialist workspaces upon request. The students also have access to a wide variety of technical facilities, workshops, media workplaces a gallery and a design lab. The facilities include:

Mac and PC computer lab, 3D Scanning, 3D printing, CNC milling, Laser cutter, Photo studio.
Wood, Metal, Ceramics, Plastics, Mock-up, Weaving, Knitting, Screen Printing.
Design Service and Material archive.
