How to use material with a minimum of waste and… also make an interesting design?
We are looking into that in this shortterm project and will also use the new CNC router that has finally arrived at our workhops!
Nesting components on a sheet can be done in different ways, by hand and via digital means. To make an optimum puzzle with as little waste as possible and a nice and fitting design as outcome needs clever planning and designing.
We will look at some interesting examples and also learn how to convert a drawing or a hand model in a simpel way into a cnc file.
By the end of the week all participants will have cut one design of their own with the cnc-router.

Wie kann man Material mit einem Minimum an Abfall verwenden und … auch ein interessantes Design machen?
In diesem Kurzzeit Projekt untersuchen wir das und werden auch die neue CNC-Fräse verwenden, die endlich in unseren Werkstätten angekommen ist!
Das Verschachteln von Bauteilen auf einer Platte kann auf verschiedene Arten erfolgen, von Hand und mit digitalen Mitteln. Um ein optimales Puzzle mit möglichst wenig Abfall und einem schönen und passenden Design als Ergebnis zu erstellen, bedarf es einer cleveren Planung und Gestaltung.
Wir sehen uns interessante Beispiele an und lernen auch, wie man eine Zeichnung oder ein Handmodell auf einfache Weise in eine CNC-Datei umwandelt.
Bis Ende der Woche haben alle Teilnehmer ein eigenes Design mit der CNC-Fräse geschnitten.
