Prof. Wowo (Waldemar) Kraus

Wowo (Waldemar) studierte Modedesign am London College of Fashion und an der Middlesex University in London. Nach seinem Bachelor in „Womenswear” zog er 2005 nach Paris, wo er am Institut Francais de la Mode sein Studium mit einem Master abschloss.

Nach seinem Master folgte ein kurzer Aufenthalt bei Maison Martin Margiela im Artisanal Line Studio, wo er in die Entwicklung der Couture-Unikate eingebunden war. Im Juni 2007 begann er eine Stelle im Accessoire-Team von Emilio Puccini Italien. 2009 fing er als Dozent am Polimoda Institut für Modedesign und Marketing in Florenz an, wo er bis 2014 Bachelor- und Master-Graduierte in ihren Abschlusskollektionen in den Bereichen Womens-, Mens-, Childrenswear, Accessories und Styling begleitete. Parallel dazu war Wowo Kraus als Fashion und Research Consultant für private Kunden tätig.

Seit Oktober 2014 ist er Professor für Modedesign an der Universität der Künste Berlin.

Wowo (Waldemar) Kraus studied fashion design at the London College of Fashion and at Middlesex University in London. After completing his bachelor’s degree in womenswear, he moved to Paris in 2005, where he graduated from the Institute Francais de la Mode with a master’s degree.

This was followed by a short stay at Maison Martin Margiela in the Artisanal Line Studio, where he was involved in the development of single unique couture. In June 2007 he started a job in the Emilio Pucci accessories team in Italy. From 2009 on he started as a lecturer at the Polimoda Institute for Fashion Design and Marketing in Florence, where he supported Bachelor and Master graduates in their final collections in the areas of womens-, mens-, childrenswear, accessories and styling until 2014. Alongside he worked as a fashion and research consultant for private customers.

Since October 2014 he has been a professor of fashion design at the University of the Arts Berlin.
